Section 4

Section 2 — The questions
What you'll be asked
Question 1
What are you responsible for right now?
What are you currently delivering, making, or driving forward – and what does it ask of you (even if you wouldn't call it "leadership")?
Keep it concrete. Suggested structure: What you're responsible for · Who you work with / support / guide · One example of a decision, judgement call, or moment you handled under pressure.
Question 2
What's the next step you're growing into?
What feels like the next stretch for you – and what would be different if you had the Fellowship's support?
We're looking for readiness, not polish. If it helps: What opportunity are you moving toward? · What responsibility are you stepping into? · Where would confidence, perspective, connection, or practical support make the biggest difference?
Question 3
Alignment with the Fellowship spirit
Which of these feels most true for you right now?
□ Empowerment, not gatekeeping
□ Cross-sector connection
□ Access and fairness
□ A two-way conversation
There's no right answer. This helps us understand what you care about and how you approach working with others as you develop. You can add one sentence on why (up to 50 words).
Assessment criteria
What the panel is looking for
Applications are reviewed anonymously — the panel will not see your name. They will score each application against three criteria:
Evidence of delivery
Demonstrated ability to lead, deliver, or create meaningful work in the cultural sector.
Readiness for the next step
A clear sense of where you are heading and why this fellowship would make a difference to that journey.
Potential for impact
The likely reach and significance of your leadership in the sector over the coming years.
